The International Fair for Investment Projects was officially opened today. The attendees were addressed by Branko Grčić, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Regional Development and EU Funds, Nikica Valentić, Special Advisor for Economic Affairs to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ivan Paladina, President of the Management Board at Institut IGH and Sanda Marušić, partner of Rexpo. The opening ceremony was attended by mayors of Velika Gorica, Novska and Sveti Ivan Zelina, the President of the Croatian Chamber of Economy Luka Burilović, Michèle Boccoz, French Ambbassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, and representatives of the embassy of Hungary, of the Republic of India, of the Federative Republic of Brazil, of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Italy.
The first day featured many interesting panels, including the one on infrastructure investments, with the participation of Siniša Hajdaš Dončić, Minister of Maritime Affairs, Transport and Infrastructure, Lukša Novak, General Manager at Split Airport, Alen Premužak, President of the Croatian Post Board, Renata Suša, President of the Management Board, HŽ Infrastuktura, Ltd., Oliver Kumrić, Board Member at IGH, Krešimir Rendeli, President of the Management Board, Port Authority Zadar, Doris Peručić, Board Member – CEO at Adriatic Croatian International Club. It was moderated by Saša Cvetojević. Damir Juričić from the Agency for Public-Private Partnership moderated the panel “What Is Preventing the Development of Public-Private Partnership?“ at which Magdalena Šoljakova, Senior Country Officer, IFC, Dario Silić, CEO of Bina-Istra, Mirjana Igrec, Bord Member of Kamgrad, Saša Marenjak, CEO at PPP Center, Boris Draženović, Menagement Bord Chair at CEI, Ivana Miloš, Attorney at Law, MS Partners, and Krunoslav Šams, Head of Department for Concessions, Zagreb Airport. Panel on the impact of investments on cities was moderated by Vedrana Likan, Managing Director at Colliers International Croatia. The participants were John Banka, Partner and Director at Colliers International Poland, Davor Štern, Director at Trade Consulting, Marko Dabrović, Partner in 3LHD Studio, Damir Vanđelić, Director at Abilia, Vedrana Jelušić, Director for Croatia, EBRD. Ivan Hrstić from N1 Televisions and his guests tried to tell us where foreign investments were headed. The participants in the panel were: Andre Haroche, Founder of Silverleaf Capital Group, Klaus Dieter Martin, CEO at European Costal Airline, Mladen Fogec, Siemens Croatia CEO and Vice President of the Foreign Investors Council, Nemanja Savčić, Development Manager at New Europe Property Investments and Tom Novak, CEO at X Worldwide Business Services, X Sports Worldwide LLC and Mundoaka Street Food.
On 29 October 2015, around 3. 45 P. M. the President of the Republic of Croatia Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović shall visit the exhibition space and talk with attendees and exhibitors.
Rexpo 2015 is organized under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Croatia, Ministry of Economy, Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds, Ministry of Tourism and the City of Zagreb, and support is provided by leading companies and institutions. The gold sponsor this year was Institut IGH, the silver one Hypo Alpe-Adria-Bank, and the bronze one Croatian Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
More than 3,500 business people from thirty countries have so far visited Rexpo. In about 2500 m² of exhibition space more than 250 companies, cities and municipalities and over 500 projects have been introduced, while the Rexpo Forum has included hundreds of panel discussions and round tables, with a participation of more than 200 experts from different fields, government representatives, local and foreign experts. Many contacts made during Rexpo have resulted with numerous instances of successful business cooperation.
